This 1985 Bluewater Coastal Cruiser 51FC is mechanically sound and is stored in a covered slip year round. Electrical systems were used throughout the boat during the photoshoot and everything functioned as expected. While the engines and water systems were not tested during the shoot, visually neither of them give any indications for concern. The boat has been in fresh water since the current owners acquired it in 2012 for certain and the previous owner used it as a freshwater boat as well. The boat was last pulled about 5 years ago at which time the bottom was inspected, cleaned and painted. While slightly dated, the interior presents well for it's age with no major rips or tears. The flybridge interior and canvas enclosures are in good condition, again for their age but, will benefit from a cleaning and detail job after sitting dockside most of last season. The galley has a full compliment of appliances with a newer refrigerator/freezer on board. The current owners opted to use an induction cooktop instead of the electric stove and oven combo and are not sure if it is in working order. The exterior of the boat is solid and visually doesn't show cause for concern. The old windlass winch has been removed but the seller will include one for the new owner to install if they so choose. Despite being in a covered slip, the Midwest weather will likely have the new owner wanting to do a wash down and detail. There is noticeable paint peeling on the swim platform but it is solid when walking on it with no soft spots. If you're looking for a classic Coastal Cruiser that is usable from day 1 of ownership with the ability to outfit and customize to your tastes and plans, this Bluewater should definitely be on your list to consider.
